Joining the Pennsylvania craft beer family is Our Town Brewery who officially opens their doors on Thursday, September 10th. The brewery is opening at 252 North Prince Street in Lancaster.

The hours of operation will be as follows:

Thursday: 4:00 – 9:00
Friday & Saturday: 12:00 – 9:00
Sunday: 12:00 – 8:00

We recently toured the home of the 10 bbl, 6,000+ square foot brewery with Rob Tarves, Rob Patz, and Norm Horn to get an inside look on what folks can expect.

What was once a former vehicle sales and service shop, the 100-year-old building has been transformed into a space centered around the community. Tarves, who was most notably brewing at Lancaster County’s Mad Chef Brewing, has a background deep in commercial brewing experience. Providing him with the depth of knowledge to open a location that Lancaster, and all of Pennsylvania, can be proud of.

The theme of the brewery was made very clear to us throughout our visit. The trio has one main goal for their brewery, and that is to provide a location that serves “fresh and thoughtful ingredients” that the Lancaster community will want to come back to again and again.

Completing the dining experience at Our Town will be a full kitchen lead by Norm. With a strong culinary background and focus on local, fresh ingredients the kitchen will be a welcome pairing to the beer in your glass.

The brewery and taproom is split between two floors. The first floor will feature the brewhouse (which will be exposed to the public), the primary bar, and seating for 80. Upstairs will offer a space for private parties that can fit up to 40. Once open the location will cater towards not just the most hardened of beer fans, but families alike. Eventually becoming a pillar of the local community.
