Hoodoo is a 7.3% ABV/85 IBU American IPA made by Voodoo Brewing Company (Meadville, PA). Made with 7 hop varieties that start with the letter “C”, your tastebuds will go wild drinking this!
Pouring to a light golden color that is clear, you’ll get a decent layer of bright white foamy head. The lacing is spotty on your glass for this one. Smells of light grains and caramel, some pine, a little honey, and tropical citrus fruit aromas as well.
Tasting Hoodoo brings flavors of those light grains and malts, along with some very light caramel sweetness. The tropical fruits add some great bright citrus flavors (grapefruit, pineapple), along with some hop spiciness to round the flavoring out. We also noticed flavors of resinous pine, grass, and some light lemon zest.
Hoodoo is dry and crisp finishing with a medium carbonation and a medium body. Available year-round on draft and in 12 oz bottles, give this and your tastebuds a shot of citrus explosion!
