As you may have read, Levity Brewing has been working towards opening a new taproom in Altoona. The Indiana, PA based brewery has been working for quite some time to convert the old Chalk Box building on 11th Avenue in Altoona to the areas newest craft beer attraction.
Levity, who is known as a two time BIPA PA Beer Bracket champion, has built a reputation on pairing a fresh handmade craft beer list with some of the best food you will find in the state.
As we profiled in the past, the taproom opening is the first phase of the Altoona location. Levity is canning many of their beers in Indiana, and this store is a way to quickly start connecting with the Altoona community. The next phase will be constructing a taproom and restaurant in the 2,400 sq ft first floor of the building. And finally, a brewing operation to brew unique local beers will be constructed on site.
Join them for their soft opening on Friday, February 12th where the brewery will be serving a limited beer menu for take-out: 4-packs, cases, and 32oz Crowlers filled fresh from the tap. No food will be served in the Altoona space until they fully open this spring.
