Congratulations to Log Tavern Brewing which is the latest brewery in PA to announce expansion plans. The Milford based brewery recently published plans to build a custom taproom on a 9.5 acre piece of land in Tafton, PA.
We recently spoke with Ryan Scott of Log Tavern to get a better sense of what customers can expect when the new custom built property is open for business.
As we learned the expansion is happening in an already existing structure. Scott shared that he came across a property with an existing open air structure that was planned to be used as a pavilion on the property. The total square footage of this space is 2,400 and came with an existing fireplace, bathrooms, and wooden timber roof making it the ideal location for the future Log Tavern taproom.
The brewery is in the process of enclosing the existing structure which, as you can see below, will feature large robust windows all along the side walls offering guests an indoor/ outdoor concept while enjoying locally made beer.

Inside the structure will feature the beautiful timber frames that existed prior to Log Taverns construction. In addition, the 9.5 acre surrounding property will allow Log Tavern to offer outdoor picnic tables for seating and more.
The taproom will offer 8 to 10 draft options to start as well as wine and spirits from other local producers. Log Tavern will offer its own basic pub snacks and food trucks will be invited to provide an overall dining experience at the location. Log Tavern has made its reputation of being a rustic welcoming brewery that locals can call home. And Scott believes that this structure and piece of property will help the brewery continue on that mission.
As of this writing the space will be used as a taproom only. However, Scott did mention that they have considered the possibility of moving all beer production to this space. (Although this is something they are just considering and has not been confirmed).
