Maholo, Apollo by Iron Hill Brewery

As a seasonal summer beer from Iron Hill Brewery this pale wheat ale can be found at any of their locations on tap as well as in cans as a four-pack sold on location. Maholo, Apollo pours to a hazy golden wheat color and is best poured into a mug or stein—the wide mouth will allow the brew to breathe and allow you to really absurd the fresh scent that the beer’s lemongrass component gives off. Possessing almost no bitterness, as expected from its barely there IBU rating of 15, this beer is made for the summer days of drinking 2 or 3 on your back porch. While you’re at it toss some wings on the grille, spicy or sweet, whichever suits your interest will work as this beer’s even balance make it compatible with hot and sweet flavors. The peppery Grains of Paradise used in the brewing process really come into bloom when washing down a honey or sriracha wing.
