Mango Daydreamin’ is another entry in the ever growing “dreamin” series from Manayunk Brewing Company and builds off of the success of the earlier released, Grapefruit Daydreamin’. This brew pours to an appropriately vibrant orange with a bright white head that dissolves quickly without much lacing. A heavy aroma of fresh mango fills the air immediately upon popping its tab. Brewed with Citra hops there is also a note of citrus scent, but each is a fresh, appealing aroma that isn’t overly sweet.

First tasting continues its mango mission as the flavor is very forward. A blind taster would definitely be able to guess its mango designation, or at least orange, however strong the flavor is it never crosses into the fruit juice territory. Billed as a ‘Session IPA’ it’s easy to see how you could down 2 or 3 of these at a time with a low ABV of 4.1%. It has limited carbonation with a thin mouth feel and very little aftertaste. This combination allows for hearty gulps that offer all the fresh fruit flavor you want without any of the lingering funk that sometimes accompanies mango flavored drinks.
