No, We Did Not Report That Roundabout Is Closing

Earlier we published a preview of Coven Brewing as a part of our ongoing series of future PA brewery profiles. In that preview, we confirmed that Coven has leased and plans to open in the current building where Roundabout Brewery is held as well as purchased their brewing equipment.

And the article picked up a lot of steam to suggest this meant that the Pittsburgh brewery would be closing. We are writing this now to confirm that the story we wrote was about Coven, and had nothing to do with Roundabout’s future. The piece was written to tell the story of Coven Brewing (that we definitely think you should read), which included its future location. There has been no confirmation if Roundabout will be moving, if the brand will be continued elsewhere, or if they will close completely.

If you’re in any local Facebook beer group, there are plenty of rumors swirling around on what the brand plans to do moving forward. And we ourselves have had rumors shared with us about their future. But our site does not publish rumors unless there is any type of public evidence to support them. So we have nothing to share on the future of Roundabout as of right now. We have reached out to the brewery for a comment, but as of this writing have not heard back.

Update: Recently Roundabout addressed the matter of their future in the post below:
