Every year Philly Loves Beer (PLB) raffles off a once in a lifetime trip to send a winner and local brewer to brew the official Philly Beer Week collaboration beer. This year, that lucky soul will find out if they won the grand prize at the Live Raffle at City Tap House Logan Square in Philadelphia on Thursday, November 14th from 7pm-10pm. Joining them this year as their MC will be radio personality, Marilyn Russell of 98.1 WOGL Morning Show, Marilyn Russell’s Remarkable Women and Eat, Drink and Be Marilyn: The Podcast.

Past raffles have taken winners through the depths of history at some of Europe’s finest breweries, but this year, the trip is staying stateside – and for good reason.  With Philadelphia being the only spot on the East Coast to snag some juicy liquid from this California brewery, traveling to homebase will be a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to experience a behind-the-scenes look at the rich history of this award-winning brewery.

The catch?  You have to pick an eligible local brewery to take with you – after all, this is a collaboration beer debuting at the oldest (and quite possibly the best!) beer week in all the land!  Winners will also be joined by members of the Philly Loves Beer team for unique visits to some of the other heavy hitters in the California brew scene, along with many more exciting and unique experiences!

The annual raffle fundraiser allows Philly Loves Beer to continue its work promoting beer tourism, education, and local brewery support, while maintaining Philadelphia’s high profile status as “America’s Best Beer-Drinking City.

Raffle tickets can be purchased online – or if you’re lucky – you can catch the wheel of prizes at an event near you!  Can’t find time for either? You can still snag your chances at City Tap House’s Logan Square location at the night of the Live Raffle.  There will be a slew of other silent auction prizes available that night – so while you need not be present to win the top prizes, there’s PLENTY of reason to join in at City Tap House.

In addition to the Grand Prize of the brewing trip to Belgium, other prizes include:

Tickets are $5 each or 5 for $20; when purchased, the entrant chooses among a list of participating local brewers to accompany them in the event that they win. Winners need not be present to win the top three prizes, but must have a valid ID to travel.
