Shy Bear Introduces First Annual Golf Tournament And Craft Beer Festival

If you can’t get enough of craft beer and 18 holes of golf… you’re in luck. The team at Shy Bear Brewing is introducing its first annual Golf Tournament And Craft Beer Festival on Monday, July 31st. This unique event will capture the vibrant energy of a golf tournament with the chance to enjoy a wide variety of locally made craft beer for a day of fun and excitement.

The tournament will take place at Lewistown Country Club (Lewistown, PA) starting with a lunch at 11:00 AM and an official shotgun start at 1:00 PM. The event will feature 18 total breweries positioned at each green of the course. After finishing each hole every team of four will be offered a sample of a specialty beer being featured by that brewery.

The format of the event will be a four person scramble and the cost per team is $600. Each golfer will receive a complimentary custom plastic tasting mug which will get you craft beer tastings throughout the course, a lunch buffet, and the chance on winning the following gift card bundles from the participating breweries involved in the tournament  (final amounts will all be dependent on the number of registered teams):

  • 1st Place (lowest scramble score): ($200-$400 of your first choice of gift cards per team & your names on a custom trophy that will be kept at Shy Bear)
  • 2nd place: ($200-$400 in gift cards per team)
  • 3rd place ($50-$100 in gift cards per team)
