Sweat Equity is the first release from 2nd Story Brewing Company’s Tilted Farmhouse series. This beer is a true farm-to-glass beer, with barley grown at their Tilted Barn Farm in Pottstown, selectively malted by Huntingdon Valley’s Double Eagle Malthouse. This beer reflects their mission of “passion in the process,” taking great care from selecting the best raw ingredients to their finished product, producing beers they like to drink and share with their friends.

This farmhouse ale is truly unique and true to style; locally grown and malted ingredients, brewed with care. The beer is straw in color with a decent amount of white head with moderate lacing as you enjoy this refreshing spring offering from the Old City brewery. The aroma lends earthy notes of fresh cut hay with underlying citrus notes of lemon zest. Upon sipping this beer, those flavors follow with citrus rind, slight earthy bitterness and black pepper from the house saison yeast. This beer is refreshing and finishes dry, and perfect for the springtime weather, whenever it arrives.

Stop by 2nd Story’s brewpub and grab a pint of this delicious farm-to-glass beer and bring a growler home! Be sure to stay tuned for more from Old City’s 2nd Story Brewing Company!
