We have scoured the state to find the beers across Pennsylvania that can replace that Guinness this St. Patrick’s Day.
O’Reilly’s Stout – Sly Fox Brewing
An Irish-style Draft Stout poured with nitrogen for a rich creamy pint. Brewed with imported British Pale and Roasted Barley, plus Flaked Barley, and hopped with Cascade and Target hops. Black in color, light bodied and roasty dry. Currently on tap at most Sly Fox locations in Pennsylvania!
After the Party – Neshaminy Creek
Like a cold brew coffee with a kick, this Irish dry stout is brewed with English Marris Otter malt and conditioned on coffee. A smooth mouthfeel, medium-light body and dry finished make for an insanely crushable brew.
Love Stout – Yards Brewing
Luscious notes of coffee and chocolate accent Love Stout’s smooth, creamy mouth feel. We will not apologize for any amorous affairs resulting from the consumption of this beverage!
Gone Arseways – Levity Brewing
This is the beer for the top o’ the morning! Crisp in body but balanced just right with full chocolate and coffee notes.
Skipper’s Stout – Erie Brewing
Skipper’s Stout is the brewery’s new winter seasonal brewed with three different varietals of coffee and crème brûlée. Their special coffee blend brings bold flavor, while the addition of chocolate malts and crème brûlée round this brew out, with a smooth and slightly sweet finish.
O’Dryly – Raney Cellars Brewing
Dry Irish Stout with big roast malt flavor and a dry finish with a ton of flavor clocking in at 4.6 ABV. Available at their brewery in Millersville, PA.
O’Sullivan Stout – Iron Hill Brewery
Classic Irish dry stout. Black in color with roasty malt flavor and a pronounced, dry finish. Served on nitrogen for a creamy mouthfeel.
Sweet Coffee Milk Stout – Tröegs
Brewed to celebrate the Harrisburg Symphony Orchestra’s historic “Music in the Key of We” concert, this sweet milk stout was cold-steeped with 15 pounds of Little Amps Coffee Roaster’s El Rincon Del Sabor. Scratch #406 is roasty and creamy with notes of caramel, berries and stone fruit.
Eastern Hemlock – Dancing Gnome
A 5% American stout with moderate roast, hints of bakers chocolate, and a full silken mouthfeel.
