Wacker Brewing Announces Closure

In a post on social media Wacker Brewing announced the closure of Wacker’s Roadhouse official as of November 5th.

Wacker Brewing Company was originally founded in 1853 by Joseph Wacker bought the Eagle Brewery and was the oldest brewery in Lancaster at the time of its closing in 1956. It was revived in 2014 by Bryan and Carolyn Kepner, the previous owners of Pour Craft & Drink, a Lancaster city restaurant that closed in July.

In 2020 the brewery moved to its current location on Willow Street in a 100-year-old former tobacco warehouse that’s brimming with history and stories of its own.

Sometimes the hardest thing and the right thing are the same. That’s exactly what we feel at this moment when we make the bittersweet announcement to you that Wacker’s Roadhouse will be closing our doors on November 5th. There are countless reasons why it’s a difficult decision, the first being because our staff is freakin’ amazing! From the team who helped us re-open the doors in Willow Street almost four years ago, to the team we have today, and of course the ones who have been with us for the entire crazy ride! We are incredibly blessed, and we hope you’ll show your gratitude to them by coming out in full force between now Sunday, November 5th (yes, we will be honoring all gift cards up until this date). To our multi-talented trivia host, all our gifted musicians, loyal bike groups, amazing customers, and our outstanding community partners, and last but not least, to Ben, our brewer who did so much more than brew – We appreciate you all more than you know! Our sincere thanks for being part of our extended Wacker family and for sharing so many memories over the years! And of course, to our friends at Lancaster Harley-Davidson (also past and present) – our deepest thanks for a wonderful partnership! Working side by side – literally – has been very rewarding on so many levels! Thank you all from the bottom of our hearts! Our hours of operation this week will be Wed and Thurs 4pm – 10pm, Fri 4pm – 11pm, Sat Noon – 11pm and Sun Noon – 8pm (Kitchen closes 1 hour early daily). Keep an eye on our socials for specials throughout the week!
