No Frills Pills, Largemouth IPA and Hawley Hefeweizen Win Additional Awards

Wallenpaupack Brewing Company, the award-winning craft brewery, brewpub & taproom, located adjacent to Lake Wallenpaupack in the Poconos region of Pennsylvania, today announced they were recognized as the “Pennsylvania Brewery of the Year” by the New York International Beer Competition.

This is the third year in a row this judging competition has recognized Wallenpaupack Brewing Company as the Pennsylvania Brewery of the Year which is a significant achievement for the 5 year old brewpub.  The New York International Beer Competition judged over 700 beers from over 15 countries in more than 30 categories.  It is the only competition whose judging panel is comprised of talented trade buyers – people responsible for purchasing beer in restaurants, hotels, retail, and on-premise locations.

In addition to being named as the best Pennsylvania brewery, Wallenpaupack Brewing Company was also recognized for the following beers:

• • No Frills Pils (Gold Medal)
  • Largemouth IPA (Silver Medal)
  • Hawley Hefeweizen (Bronze Medal)
