Earlier this year we documented how Wawa was expanding its alcohol sales by adding a significant number of liquor licenses to its retail locations. And during the time we speculated how this may also increase the convenience store’s beer collaboration efforts as well. (If you recall they have regularly produced beer collabs with 2SP Brewing in the past).

It does look like they are moving forward with another collaboration, except this time they have chosen New Jersey based Cape May Brewing for the production. The two brands recently introduced a new collaboration called “Shore Tea”.

In a press release from the brewery they go on to say:

“Cape May Brewing Company and Wawa today announced their first year collaboration and release of a limited-edition “Shore Tea,” hard tea beverage. Shore Tea will debut at Wawa’s Grand Opening of its newest beer store in Bucks County and Cape May Brewing Co. Tasting Room, followed by select retailers. Made with Wawa’s signature Peach Iced Tea and Cape May’s iconic adult libations, the hard tea is lip-smackingly refreshing with just the right amount of sweet kick.”

However, if you are a New Jersey resident don’t expect to find much of this product. While Cape May Brewing will have it available for sale, the majority of the product will actually be found in Pennsylvania. (Can you blame them…. special releases like this would go against the 25 events they are limited to in NJ).
