What The Floc from Liquid Hero Brewing is a beer for hop lovers. This juicy double IPA comes in at 9.5% ABV and 120 IBU’s.
With heavy additions of Cascade, Nugget, Simcoe, Centennial, Chinook, and Columbus hops, a big malt base gives balance to this offering from Liquid Hero.
The name is derived from yeast flocculation, which is the clumping together (or flocculation) of yeast once the sugar in a wort has been fermented into beer. It also is fun to just say WHAT THE FLOC!
Recommended to drink straight from the can, if you poured it, you would notice a cloudy amber color. You’ll notice the pine and citrus aromas from the 6 hops added, with a lot of caramel malt. We were very impressed by the balance of this beer, given the amount of hops used to make it!
Overall, a very smooth drinkable offering from Liquid Hero. Almost too much that you need to keep telling yourself “slow down, this is a 9.5% beer!”
