Celebrate America’s 250th Birthday with an historic beer tasting train ride aboard the Stourbridge Line. Honesdale is the birthplace of the American railroad. (Honesdale claims its title as the Birthplace of America’s Railroad because it was the site where the Stourbridge Lion—the first commercial steam locomotive to run on rails in the United States—made its first run on August 8, 1829.) The beer train will be featuring Declaration Lager, Pennsylvania’s official beer for America250PA. Representatives from Runaway Train Brewery will be on hand to explain the tasting notes of the beers.
