“We are pleased to announce two promotions and management restructuring at Tröegs, which is intended to strengthen our leadership team and commitment to being a creative and independent brewery.” – Chris and John Trogner
Earlier this month, Vice President of Sales Jason Kidwell retired after a long tenure with the brewery. Jason came on board in 2010 just as Tröegs began construction on its new brewing facility in Hershey, PA. Starting his career as a sales rep in Massachusetts, Jason worked his way up the ladder to his final role as VP of Sales. During this time, his leadership and expertise helped contribute to monumental growth for Tröegs, which led to production soaring from 30K to more than 100K barrels.
Under Jason’s tenure, Tröegs was able to expand its sales team by almost 50% and develop an organizational structure that now includes four regional sales managers, two national account managers, five area sales managers, twelve sales representatives, and a wholesaler coordinator.
“We wish Jason the best in his retirement and know that he’ll be rooting us on as an ambassador of the brewery for life,” says Chris Trogner.
Additionally, Tröegs is making two internal changes to ensure that the brewery is set up for continued success in each of its eleven markets across the Mid-Atlantic and New England regions.
David Graham, Director of Marketing since December 2022, has been promoted to Vice President of Sales & Marketing. Since joining Tröegs, David’s strategic vision has helped shape the brewery’s portfolio with additions of the Graffiti Highway IPA family and Tröegs Pennsylvania Lager, now the brewery’s #2 and #3 brand families behind Perpetual IPA. In his new role, David will continue to lead Tröegs’ marketing strategy, oversee the sales organization, and drive a cohesive, long-term business plan committed to fostering Tröegs fans for life.
Finally, Regional Sales Manager Nick Johnson will assume his new role as Director of Sales to lead the sales team and work closely with retail and distributor partners. Nick, a 21-year veteran of Tröegs, has been a vital part of the company’s growth since joining the team as an area sales representative in 2005. Since then, he has worked to solidify Tröegs’ reach in Eastern and Central Pennsylvania and helped establish the Massachusetts, New Jersey, and New York markets.
“We are excited about this new framework and believe we will be able to deliver a focused, strategic roadmap for the brewery for years to come!” – Chris and John Trogner
