Apricot Theory & Zing Pop By Strange Roots Experimental Ales (Double Review)

Apricot Theory & Zing Pop are two of the latest releases from Strange Roots Experimental Ales(Pittsburgh, PA).

Apricot Theory is a 8.2% spontaneously fermented sour apricot ale. This beer pours to a clear, translucent yellow, with a bubbly pour. It was spontaneously fermented in the cool ship then aged in Sauvignon Blanc casks.

Aromas of apricot are very strong on this one! Drinking Apricot Theory brings notes of the Sauvignon blanc casks and sour apricot upfront that quickly release into a smooth finish that is slightly dry.

Zing Pop is a 7.9% spontaneously fermented ale aged on limes and hibiscus. Pouring to a clear, translucent brown pour, you’ll notice strong hibiscus notes on the nose with a subtle lime zest.

Tasting Zing Pop brings zesty, lime Hibiscus notes that stay all the way through lingering on your taste buds. This beer is complex and very refreshing!
