Aslin Officially Opens Brewery In Pittsburgh

Since late 2021 Aslin Beer Company had been working towards opening a brewery in Pittsburgh. And now the time has come for the location in the Strip District to open officially.

Aslin Pittsburgh, located at 1801 Smallman Street features a 10,000 square foot production facility, which includes a 10-barrel brewhouse, lagering tanks, & foeders. Also, included is a 7,000 square foot taproom, cafe, second floor mezzanine, and outdoor patio. In addition to the available draft there will be cans, bottles and Aslin merchandise available to go.

Early into development we spoke with the team behind the brewery and this is what they had to say about this new location. “The Pittsburgh region has always provided us with a loyal consumer base since we opened in 2015. Kai and I have always wanted to find a way to bring beer closer to our customers in Western PA!” said co-founder Andrew Kelley. “We’ve long admired the Pittsburgh community and look forward to sharing our beers with guests and to collaborating with some of the country’s best brewers who call Pittsburgh home.”

This new brewing facility will focus on Aslin Beer Company’s research and development and will be unique to this location. This new facility will also focus on new brewing processes, techniques, & ingredients for Aslin’s IPAs, Sours, Barrel aged stouts and open-fermented lagers.

“Innovation is a key element of our brand & beer and is something we’ve always taken pride in,” adds co-founder Kai Leszkowicz. “This facility will allow our brew team to experiment with small batch brews.”
