BEERFEST REVIEW: Phoenixville Beer & Wine Fest 2018

This years’ sold out Phoenixville Beer & Wine Fest was held on Saturday May 12th at the Kimberton Fairgrounds, and the rain held out for a fun day filled with lots of new beers and wines to sample. Best breweries this year were announces, and congrats to Pennsyltucky Brewing and Well Crafted Beer Co!

Starting with the VIP session at 12pm, people could sample some special beers and wines (in a larger glass) for an hour and a half before general admission began.

General admission saw tons of local craft beer fans flood the large outdoor pavilions and indoor barn, looking for their favorite and new breweries and wineries to sample.

A few brand new breweries, such as Black Mammoth Brewing and Well Crafted Beer Company, made it to the beerfest so people could sample before they open. In addition, a few Pittsburgh breweries made the cross state trip to the festival with Full Pint Brewing and Fury Brewingboth in attendance!

A variety of beers were poured this year. The ever popular hazy IPA’s were flowing, and in addition to lagers, and pales. Some of our favorites were:

– DDH Bleed Green IPA from Rebel Hill Brewing (Phoenixville, PA)

– Series Of Sweet Karate Moves from Fury Brewing (Irwin, PA)

– Espresso Porter from Hewitt Brothers Handcrafted Ales (Pottstown, PA)

– ErotoLupulinoPhobia NEIPA from Tuned Up Brewing (Spring City, PA)

– Over The Moat British style pale ale from Crowded Castle Beer Company (Phoenixville, PA)

– Hazy Acres IPA from Great Barn Brewing (New Hope, PA)

The food offerings did not disappoint either with great BBQ from Nick’s Roast Beef and Uncle B’s BBQ.

Did you go this year? Will you go next year?
