Dunks Ferry is a 5.2% dunkelweizen, which is a bavarian style wheat ale. Offered from Neshaminy Creek Brewing Company as part of their German wheat beer theme for the fall, this beer features Hallertau and Tettnanger hops.
Pouring this will show a hazy dark brown color with a foamy beige head that lingers. You are immediately given smells of wheat and yeast. Tasting brings wheat malt, spicy clove,banana, and some brown sugar.
Dunks Ferry is a very easy drinking beer. Malty sweetness up front, with some mild spice on the back end. It is medium bodied with a crisp taste, and a refreshing take on the Dunkelweizen German beer style.
