Helltown Celebrates 10th Anniversary With Special Beer Releases And Huge Event

It isn’t very often when a small business can say they are celebrating a decade in business. We are thrilled to help share the news of Helltown Brewing celebrating their 10th Year Anniversary!

Helltown was founded in 2011 in Mt. Pleasent, PA, and over the years has expanded to 3 other PA locations: Houston, Export, and 1700 Penn Ave in Pittsburgh’s Strip District.

All month long they’ve been releasing new beers in 16oz cans with artwork provided by local artists to build community, support the arts, and spice up the Helltown brand with cool and exciting designs. The new 10th Year Anniversary logo with gold lettering is available on a brand new t-shirt the brewery is selling at all taprooms.

“We are so grateful for making it this far, and we know that it’s all because of the continued support of the customers.” – Byron Nash, Creative Director at Helltown Brewing

The Cans (Taproom Releases Only)

The first can – “The Temptress” was designed by Brian Sikes Howe, vocalist for the heavy metal band Greywalker, and the host of the “Start The Beat” podcast.

The second can – “Helltown 10” was designed by Matt Spicer who did Helltown’s Interdimensional Pterodactyl IPA artwork, as well as the 2020 and 2021 BLQ METAL IPA illustrations. The Helltown 10 is a big “old-school” IPA brewed with TEN hops in honor of their 10th year anniversary. (see more details below)

There will be two more 10th Year Anniversary beers coming out on Friday, 8/20, and Friday 8/27. The hint Helltown has given is that they are two of their popular flagship beers.

“Helltown 10” releases at all of Helltown’s taprooms only!

Beer description: (10.7%) Imperial IPA – 10 different hops we added at different stages of the beer to create an intricate balance of tropical, citrus, and dank aroma, and flavor. Strata, Lotus, Amarillo, Simcoe, and Columbus were used in the dry hop for a pineapple-lime sherbet aroma with a little dankness. Apollo, Chinook, Bravo, Nugget, and Centennial were used in the kettle and whirlpool to reinforce earthy, resinous, and citrus old school American hop flavors and to add a balanced bitterness.
