Hop Hog is a 7% ABV American IPA, and is one of Lancaster Brewing Company’s staple beers.

Available year round in almost every size imaginable, this beer is dry hopped and unfiltered. This leads to great flavors and adds to the character of the beer. At 60 IBUs, the solid malt backbone helps to create a very drinkable brew.

Hop Hog pours to an amber color almost orange in look. Smells bring some hop flavors (floral and pine) with some alt and honey notes. Tasting you’ll notice how well balanced this IPA is. Tropical fruit, floral, and pine notes are apparent up front with a mild bitterness.

Overall, a great IPA with a smooth body as well as medium carbonation.

Enjoy this brew with fried foods, grilled meats, or Indian/Mexican food. We wouldn’t mind having a few more of these this summer!
