Voodoo Love Child is a Belgian-style tripel with 9.2% ABV from Voodoo Brewing Co and while they’re traditionally known for their stouts this tripel still brings it. Aged on fruit with spices added paired with a higher alcohol content and limited carbonation this brew is best suited for the colder months or if your summer just isn’t hot enough then give it shot in those months.
As mentioned before this tripel was aged atop Michigan sour cherries, Oregon raspberries and passion fruit giving it a fruity, tart aroma when poured. You’ll also notice a hint of coriander scent from this hazy, straw colored brew. While there is some funkiness the dominant flavor is that of spiced berry and this continues through the finish. There is little to no detectable hop or malt flavor.
Available in both standard 12 ounce bottles and 750 ml bombers, Voodoo Love Child is slightly more suited to the bomber where you can split with a friend as the months begin to turn cold.
