Jamaican-Style Wheat from Crystal Ball Brewing Co. is a wheat ale with 4.5% ABV. Made with dried hibiscus flowers and mango flavors this ale pours to a hazy dark amber color with a two finger light pink head that quickly dissolves.
It gives off an herbal aroma from the hibiscus used with a definite mango accent, very close in scent to an iced tea, especially when first pouring. Lightly carbonated with the continued herbal tea flavors this brew is incredibly easy to drink. At only 15 IBUs there is no real bitterness to speak of and not much of an aftertaste either.
This beer is perfect to enjoy in multiples whether you just got done cutting the grass on a Tuesday and want something cool, refreshing and take the edge off or if it’s beer o’ clock on a Saturday and you want that day buzz without being drunk by noon. So smooth and tasty the only downside of this brew is when it’s gone and you wish their was more to drink.
