Kaboom Candy: Raspberry + Passion Fruit is a 4.5% sour from Grist House (Pittsburgh, PA). This is the first can release in a series of highly fruited sours.
Pouring to a deep red color, you’ll get a pinkish color head in your glass. We noticed strong aromas of bright raspberry. Tasting Kaboom Candy brings a fizzy and refreshingly sweet mouthfeel.
We noticed a little passionfruit, but raspberry dominated the flavors on this one for us. True to the name, it’s almost as if you were eating some fruit candy.
The best way to describe the flavors are to imagine eating fruit sherbet or a fruit popsicle, with a slight tart finish. We can’t wait to try the next version, this was pretty refreshing to drink during the summer.
