Lime Life Keylime Sour IPA From Breaker Brewing Company

Written By Breweries In PA Contributor Gary Cook (@12VoltBeers on Instagram)

Sour – Farmhouse IPA
6.1% ABV

Aroma: Fresh Key Limes with a slight hint of graham cracker

Appearance: Hazy golden. Not much of a persistant head.

Mouthfeel: Dry, sharp and crisp. Higher carbonation due to the sour component the beer.

Flavor: Any hop flavor or aroma is mostly hidden by the fruit. Its part kettle soured beer that’s blended with an IPA. The bitterness from the lime also gives it a limeade like quality that works well with the hops.

Overall Impression: The name says it all. It doesn’t slip into lip puckering sour or overly juicy. This isn’t a sweet beer. It’s also somewhat unique in that it kind of tastes like a keylime pie without the sweetness of the sugar.
