Join us in congratulating Punch Buggy Brewing which is the latest brewery in PA to announce expansion plans. The brewery will be opening their second taproom inside ‘Bury The Hatchet‘ Axe Throwing in South Philly. The taproom is set to officially open Thursday, March 17th, 2022 at 4:00 PM.
The brewery has been operating at 1445 N American Street in the Kensington neighborhood of Philadelphia since opening its doors in August of 2019. The three-year-old brewery has become synonymous with its unique garage brewery vibe and recently even added its very own Punch Buggy to the facade.
The new taproom, which is 7,500 square feet, will allow Punch Buggy to double the capacity that can currently fit at their main taproom in North Philly.
We spoke with John Riley of Punch Buggy to learn more about this new endeavor. He had the following to share about the growth: “This latest taproom experience combines recreational axe throwing, a fun experience in itself, with being able to enjoy hand-crafted PA beers with friends! And if you just happen to want to relax with a beer and have no desire to throw axes, we still welcome you to come for the beer!!”
Riley also shared that this second taproom may be just the beginning when it comes to expansion for Punch Buggy. “For now we are simply using this second space as a new taproom and storage facility. Our system will remain the same but we are engaged in internal discussions regarding either increasing our capacity at American Street or potentially obtaining a third location, which would serve as a production-only facility with larger yields” Riley confirmed.
