Sandfly Brewing Set To Celebrate Groundhogs Day The Only Way Punxsutawney’s Sole Brewery Can

If you are a Pennsylvanian you know how much is made of a groundhog predicting the weather. So it should come as no surprise that Punxsutawney’s only brewery would be celebrating the annual event. Join Sandfly Brewing on the weekend of February 1st for their Groundhog Day Celebration.

Born from the ingenuity of Jason Huffman and Matt Koppenhaver, Sandfly emerged in 2023, the first microbrewery to grace the town since Prohibition. Housed within a revitalized car wash, the taproom spills onto a sunny patio, welcoming both locals and Groundhog Day pilgrims with open arms and frosty pints. More than just a brewpub, Sandfly is a community hub, boasting fresh brews crafted with regional grains and partnering with local food trucks to fuel Punxsutawney’s evolving spirit. Whether you’re seeking a crisp pilsner to toast the spring forecast or a cozy stout to chase away the winter chill, Sandfly serves up a taste of Punxsutawney’s vibrant spirit, one pint at a time.
