Step Your Game Up (or S.YG.U. as it is commonly known) is one of the latest offerings from Roy-Pitz Brewing Company out of Chambersburg, PA. This 5% NE IPA is brewed with Galaxy, Mosaic, Cascade, Centennial. It gets most of its flavor and aroma from the three hop additions; one at the end of the boil, the second during the fermentation, and the lastly dry hopped through their hop torpedo.
This N.E. IPA pours to a classic hazy orange and cloudy appearance with intense aromas of peach, strawberry and mango. The combination of world class grains including pale malted barely, oats and wheat add to a thicker mouthfeel even though this beer will finish dry.
S.Y.G.U. stays true to the NE IPA style; providing your typical juicy mouth feel while offering slight bitterness from the hops. Couple that with a very unique looking can art (see below) this is a must try during your next visit to Roy-Pitz.
