D.G. Yuengling & Son, Inc. Commemorates America’s 250th Anniversary with Limited-Edition Packaging, Storytelling, and Community Engagement
As America celebrates 250 years, Yuengling has been brewing through nearly all of it. D.G. Yuengling & Son, Inc., America’s Oldest Brewery, is proud to honor the upcoming 250th anniversary of the United States with a series of commemorative initiatives celebrating the nation’s rich history and the brewery’s enduring place within it.
Founded in 1829, Yuengling has operated for a large portion of America’s lifetime, making its legacy deeply intertwined with the nation’s story. As America approaches this historic milestone, Yuengling is reflecting on nearly two centuries of perseverance, craftsmanship, and commitment to community, values that mirror the American spirit.

In celebration of America’s 250th anniversary, Yuengling has created a special-edition installment of the Behind the Brewery series. This video honors the nation’s milestone by celebrating American history, while highlighting Yuengling’s longstanding role in that story as America’s Oldest Brewery. “As America’s Oldest Brewery, we take tremendous pride in our heritage and the role we’ve played in American history,” said Wendy Yuengling, Chief Administrative Officer and 6th generation. “The 250th anniversary of our country is not only a time to celebrate how far we’ve come as a nation, but also to honor the traditions, resilience, and pride that continues to define us.”
To mark this milestone, Yuengling has introduced limited-edition Lager 12oz cans and packaging celebrating America’s 250th. In a tribute to the nation’s founding, these specially designed cases are also being used to construct large-scale American flag displays at retail stores across our 30-state footprint. These cans also feature our continued partnership with Team Red, White & Blue (Team RWB), a nonprofit dedicated to enriching the lives of America’s veterans through health and wellness.

Behind the Brewery Series: Releasing a new installment of Yuengling’s video series dedicated to America’s 250th anniversary, offering an inside look at the brewery’s past, present, and future.

Media Engagement: Partnering with local news outlets to showcase the history of America’s Oldest Brewery and its significance within the broader American narrative.
Military Support: Continuing its commitment to service members and veterans through its partnership with Team Red, White & Blue, supporting programs that enrich the lives of America’s military community.
Community Activity: Employee participation in the hometown Pottsville celebration featured a massive Yuengling USA 250 float made from Yuengling beer cases in Schuylkill County’s America 250 PA Parade.
As the nation prepares for its semiquincentennial, Yuengling invites consumers, partners, and communities to join in celebrating this historic occasion by raising a glass not just to the past 250 years, but to the generations to come.
