Wawa and 2SP Brewing Are Collaborating On A Beer…And It’s Being Released At A Wawa!

Yes, you read that correctly. Your beloved convenience store Wawa is teaming up with award-winning 2SP Brewing Company from Aston, PA. And it makes sense, given that 2SP is only 15 minutes from Wawa headquarters!

2SP came up with this great collaboration idea while drinking some Wawa coffee on a brew day. It’s stout season and sales was meeting with the brewers brainstorming new ideas. That’s when Michael Contreras, head of sales and marketing at 2SP, emailed Wawa with their idea on a whim. To his surprise, Wawa was very interested. Michael McLaughlin, Wawa’s coffee expert went out to the brewery to talk with them and the rest is history.

Known for his award winning stouts (among many others) head brewer Bob Barrar knew their oatmeal stout would be perfect to blend with Wawa’s Winter Reserve coffee. Winter Reserve Coffee Stout will be 6% ABV and will have notes of dark chocolate and graham cracker.

This beer will be initially launched at 4:00 pm on Thursday, December, 6th at the only Wawa in PA that sells beer at 721 Naamans Creek Rd. in Chadds Ford. Starting December 10th the collaboration will be available to the 5 Philly counties 2SP distributes to (Bucks, Montgomery, Chester, Delaware, and Philly) but cans will be very limited.
