Shubrew has rebranded its original 210 S Main Street location in Zelienople, into a new restaurant/taproom called General Shu’s Chinese Fare & Taproom. The new space will open the 2nd week of August (more details coming).
The brewery, owned by Zach Shumaker, has secretly been at work testing the concept for many years at their existing restaurant, since they love Asian food, and believe it pairs very well with beer. All this has been proven considering fried rice and ramen bowls are among the most-ordered menu items.
General Shu’s Chinese Fare & Taproom will primarily focus on take-out at its launch (due to current COVID-19 guidelines) however it will eventually transition into a taproom with bar and table seating. They will offer draft as well as cans/growlers of ShuBrew beers, local wines, ciders, and spirits.
General Shu’s also is now hiring full-time kitchen staff for both locations. They are an equal opportunity employer and do not discriminate against anyone based upon race, gender, sexual orientation, or beliefs.
We will update once the grand opening date is set. Make sure to follow Shubrew on Facebook and Instagram for more updates as well.
