Nimble Giant from Troegs Independent Brewing is a once a year 9% ABV Double IPA. Hard to find, and limited in quantity, everyone is trying to #findthegiant.
This beer was created in Troegs’ scratch beer series, and the hop combination was liked so much that they had to make more of it. Nimble Giant is so easy to drink, you’ll forget its 9%!
At 69 IBUs this DIPA is very well balanced between the hops (Azacca, Mosaic, Simcoe), and malts (Pilsner, Vienna) used. Pouring to a deep hazy orange color with a big foamy head, you will immediately smell tropical fruits, pine, and a little malt. Rich flavors of tropical fruit, pine sap, and honeysuckle all flood your tastebuds. This is one juicy DIPA with a crisp finish.
It is suggested to pour this beer into a chalice glass and pair with a shrimp dish, or with some tropical fruits.
