Helltown Taproom Strip District Takes Over Former 1700 Penn Avenue

Back in 2019, we wrote about Helltown partnering with PA Libations at 1700 Penn Ave, in the Strip District of Pittsburgh. Recently, in November 2022, Helltown Brewing took over the former 1700 Penn Avenue taproom and has made it a true extension of Helltown.

Now referred to as the Helltown Taproom Strip District, this taproom is the 4th location for the growing brand, which also has spots in Mt. Pleasant, Export, and Houston. We spoke with Helltown’s Sales, Marketing, & Logistics Coordinator Heather Foster, and their President, Shawn Gentry, to learn more about what’s changing at the space.

This taproom is 7,000 sq/ft indoors and has a large outdoor area with picnic tables. All brewing will still take place at Export and Mt. Pleasant. In addition to the 24 Helltown beers on tap, they will offer PA wines and spirits, canned cocktails, cider, and craft seltzer.

Helltown Taproom Strip District is open from Wednesday through Sunday and will feature Aviva Brick Oven on Saturdays until the weather gets a little nicer. The indoor/outdoor space is also available for large groups and catering by Aviva as well.

Make sure to follow Helltowns new taproom location on Facebook and Instagram, and stay tuned for even more news on a 5th location for Helltown Brewing.
