Iris is the second offering in Dancing Gnome’s new 12-part monthly DIPA series named after flowers. The follow up to January’s Helleborus, Iris is named after the early-spring bloomer commonly seen in bridal bouquets and is said to represent wisdom, hope, and faith.

Pours a beautiful orange color with an opaque haziness typical of heavily dry-hopped NEIPAs. Rich, off-white head with solid retention.

Big tangerine aromas with subtle mango and earthy undertones. The flavor is a medley of lime, mango, and a wonderfully complimentary earthiness. This beer is a rainbow of flavor.  Soft palate with little to no perceived bitterness. Medium body, finishes somewhat dry. Another awesome double IPA from the folks at Dancing Gnome.

Like the flower itself, let’s hope Dancing Gnome’s Iris becomes a perennial release.

The next release in this series is Violet and it is currently scheduled for 3/24/18.
