Are you a marshmallow maniac?  Do you find yourself in search of marshmallowy goodness?  Well then follow the rainbow to The Lab, Evil Genius’ Fishtown taproom in Philadelphia for something Magically Delicious!

Magically Delicious is a New England IPA from Evil Genius, and if that name sounds familiar to you, yes… they brewed this beer with Lucky Charms cereal in the mash.  When cracking this beer open, it pours a hazy pale golden color with a decent amount of white head that laces the glass nicely as you enjoy.  Hopped with mosaic and chinook hops, the aroma features bright tropical fruit and juicy citrus with subtle undertones of the sugary breakfast classic.  When you take your first sip, huge flavors of citrus and tropical fruit juiciness greet your palate at first, followed by the marshmallow sweetness and a great dryness to follow on the finish.  The mouthfeel is soft and sweet wit the use of lactose and the marshmallows in the Lucky Charms.  As the beer warms a bit, those flavors of hearts, stars, horseshoes, clovers and… (I think you get the point…) open up and the classic Saturday morning cartoon staple cereal become more present and compliments the hops even more.

Be sure to chase a leprechaun or follow the rainbow… or just use google maps to get yourself to The Evil Genius Lab at 1727 N. Front Street in Philadelphia for a pot of gold, in this case being a flight of delicious Evil Genius beers!  Stay tuned for more from Evil Genius Brewing Company!
