Back in January, we brought you the news that Lovedraft’s Brewing Company would be opening this year in Mechanicsburg, and now there are more details.
The brewery has recently announced it will be officially opening in August (see the below post from their social media). In addition, they have also announced who their head brewer will be.
Lovedraft’s will have award-winning, former Pizza Boy Brewing head brewer, Terry Hawbaker. Terry’s impressive resume includes most recently Pizza Boy since 2013, but also Bullfrog Brewery in Williamsport, Black Rock Brewing in Wilkes-Barre, W.T. Hacket in Scranton, Jones Brewing Company outside of Pittsburgh, Marietta Brewing Company in Ohio, and what is now Jackie O’s Brew Pub in Athens, Ohio.
Hawbaker was known early on for wild and sour beers, but he likes to create all styles and keep a well-balanced tap list where he brews. Craft beer fans can look forward to a wide variety of beers from Lovedraft’s and Hawbaker.
As of 6/28, the brewery is officially licensed, and Terry has brewed the first beer in the facility. Stay tuned for more info on the grand opening date and more from their head brewer.
