Pittsburgh Fog (2.0) from Fury Brewing

We first reviewed Pittsburgh Fog almost a year ago to the day. We were excited to try the new recipe in cans this time!

Pittsburgh Fog is an 8% double NE style IPA from Fury Brewing (Irwin, PA). This beer is brewed and double dry hopped with Apollo, Motueka, and Simcoe hops. Pilsner malts, white wheat, and oats were also added. PF was Fury’s first ever double IPA and they have been tweaking the recipe to make it even better!

Pouring to a hazy (some might say Fog like) orange color with a bright white fluffy head. When we cracked open Pittsburgh Fog we noticed aromas of those bright floral hops. Fresh citrus and tropical fruit smells were noticeable from the Apollo and Motueka hops, and some earthy, pine aromas from the Simcoe hops.

Tasting PF brought flavors of those juicy tropical fruits with a great creamy mouthfeel. It’s slightly bitter from the high aloha acid hop Apollo, and overall a well balanced beer.
