South Philly Special IPA by Brewery ARS

ABV: 6.5%
Hops: Citra and Centennial

The original Philly Special IPA is back, with a brand new name as a nod to their neighborhood and in a can for the first time ever. Previously released on parade day, South Philly Special IPA by Brewery ARS of South Philadelphia was made to commemorate the fateful play, which dubbed our Philadelphia Eagles as world champions. Though Trey Burton who threw that fateful pass to our beloved Nick Foles has since moved on, this wonderful IPA has made its return to Philadelphia as a gentle reminder that, yes… we are still champions.

South Philly Special pours a hazy pale orange color with a decent amount of white head that laces the glass as you drink this refreshing IPA. When you open this can, aromas of tropical stone fruit and citrus greet you, enticing you to take a sip. When you take your first sip, a soft mouthfeel awaits that helps the tropical and citrus flavors, along with a touch of bitterness to linger on your palate. The beer finishes dry and those hop flavors linger long after each sip, calling you back to the glass as you did to YouTube to watch the Philly Special over and over again.

Stop by Brewery ARS at their South Philly garage brewery at 1927-29 W Passyunk Avenue to grab a 4 pack and have it on tap to relive the moment our savior Nick Foles caught that touchdown against the New England.
