The Philly Invades Pittsburgh Beer Fest is just around the corner! We have less than 45 tickets left and we expect them to sell out soon! (Buy tickets here).
As a reminder join us on Saturday, June 23rd at Spoonwood Brewing from 12:00 to 3:00 PM as we host 8 great breweries from the Philly area to pour their delicious offerings for Pittsburgh locals to enjoy. The event is sponsored by IceMule Coolers.
And now for the beer that will be pouring at the event….
Tuned Up Brewing
Erotolupulinophobia – 5.8% New England IPA
Raspberry Acid Freakout – 9.5% Fruit Beer
Free Will Brewing Company
Peachy McPeachface – 5.8% Sour
A sour ale comprised of multiple vintages, up to 3 years, blended and aged in oak casks with fresh peaches. Juicy, ripe, nectarous peach notes permeate the palate, finishing with a firm refreshing tartness.
Cloudy with a Chance of Charcuterie – 7% New England IPA
New England style IPA hopped with copious amounts of Apollo, Citra, and Mosaic. Juicy, yet hop forward with notes of grapefruit, pineapple, citrus pith, and spicy pine that permeates the palate, lingering well into the finish, and is highlighted by a tinge of sweetness from the addition of lactose.
Conshohocken Brewing
H-Town – 6.3% American IPA
H-town is one of the latest in their unfiltered IPA series, here to represent their new location Town Tap in Havertown! Generously hopped with Simcoe, Calypso, and El Dorado, this IPA is gushing with tropical fruit flavor and subtle pine on the nose. Brewed with wheat and oat malt for full a soft mouthfeel.
Puddlers Row – 5.4% ESB (2X Silver Medal World Beer Cup!)
2x World Beer Cup Silver Medal! Puddlers Row Extra Special Bitter is a classic English-style ale with a mellow roasted flavor that’s rounded out by a toffee-like caramel sweetness. Puddlers Row is well balanced between English malts and European hops.
Levante Brewing
Levante’s beers are still To Be Determined. But here is the exact wording we received from them on the beer they will be bringing:
“We will not disappoint, we’re cognizant that we want to come out and drop some hammers on our Western PA friends.”
If you’ve ever had Levante beer you know “hammers” is a great way to describe what will be coming west.
Hidden River
The folks at Hidden River are also sorting out the beers that they will be sending West. However they have confirmed that they will be bringing a Sour IPA and traditional IPA.
Last month we released a collaboration beer with them that sold out in 20 minutes. So needless to say their beer is something to look forward to.
La Cabra Brewing
Hipster Catnip – 7.2% American IPA
More than just a juicebomb. Tropical fruit and zesty citrus waltz across a silky, oat laden body. Dank dry finish for the win.
The other beer is still To Be Determined.
2SP Brewing
The Russian – 9% Russian Imperial Stout (World Beer Cup and GABF Winner!)
The beer that put Bob on the map. Huge beer with a ton of espresso in the nose and pallet. Heavy chocolate and heavy roast. 2018 Silver Medal World Beer Cup, GABF Gold Winner 2016, 2017.
The End – New England IPA
This beer isn’t even on the market yet! It is being released for the first time in Philly this June 2018! They are even hosting a special release during Philly Beer Week! And if you attend this event you don’t need to drive to Philly to get your hands on it.
As a reminder, along with 8oz unlimited pours, your ticket will also include a special raffle ticket for Tired Hands cans from their latest release at the event! The exact cans will be announced closer to the event. We will call ticket numbers throughout the day of the event. Spoonwood will also have their food and beer for purchase that day.
So hurry up and get your tickets now! Tickets will be capped at 200, so act quick! We look forward to seeing you there.
