As a red lager this brew pours to an expected mahogany with a lighter white, almost pinkish head that slowly dissolves. Cheer’s aroma is a quite hoppy for a lager, strong dank, earthy notes make their way out alongside some citrus.
A small amount of thick, malty sweet smell is also present and this is what leads into the first few sips of this craft beer. Old Forge brings a lager that is mild to begin with, lulling you in before it brings bold hop flavor to finish.
