If you’re anything like us you’ve had your Ugg boots dug out, favorite hoodies brought out of the closet corner and drank quite a few different pumpkin beers over the past month. It’s well into fall and we’ve been reviewing pumpkin beers for the past week, so no to send you into the home stretch before things get too cold, here is our #PumpkinBeerWeek finale:

Pumpkinfest: Stoudt’s Brewing Company – Amber Lager (4.5% ABV)

  • The fall time brings about two main styles of beer, the Oktoberfest and the Pumpkin Ale. While some breweries like to tweak these two into a non-Oktoberfest and pumpkin stouts, Stoudts has decided to pull a little bit from each style to create their own. Pumpkinfest takes the caramel sweetness and overall light drinkability of your traditional Oktoberfest beer and adds in a little hint of pumpkin. Those looking for an easy drinking lager with just a touch of pumpkin spirit and spice have their beer in Pumpkinfest.

Devious Imperial Pumpkin: Fegley’s Brew Works – Pumpkin Ale (9.0% ABV)

  • From light and festive to devious, Fegley’s imperial is heavy on warmth and sweet pumpkin flavor. A malty, caramel sweetness with just a touch of nutmeg spice to go with a fresh pumpkin flavor. An excellent nightcap beer, the sweet profile, with an almost bourbon-like warmth mean this can used as a companion to your pumpkin pie or a dessert all by itself.

Kenz O’ Lantern: Philadelphia Brewing Company – Pumpkin Ale (5.0% ABV)

  • If most pumpkin beers can be labeled as having pumpkin spice then this brew is closer to being spiced pumpkin. Pouring to a dark amber as promised there is a strong spiced aroma, ginger in particular, that comes from this ale once poured. The spice continues into the flavor as there’s large notes cinnamon, nutmeg and ginger that come through on every sip. Overall this is very much a spiced ale with some pumpkin notes in the background.
