A New Brewery Moved Into The Original Prism Brewing Location… And Is Giving It A Hell Of A Makeover

They say when one door closes another opens, correct? What about when it’s the same door?

Before Prism Brewing moved into (their now closed) massive restaurant they were in a building inside an industrial park in North Wales. For locals it was a quaint place to spend with friends laughing the night away. Prism left that location quite a while ago and it has been dormant ever since.

That is until the folks at McAllister Brewing moved in. They’ve only been in the building for a few short months, but that hasn’t stopped them from giving this location a complete makeover!

We recently stopped by to see the brewery for ourselves, and all we can say is the Lansdale area is in for a treat. McAllister is the brainchild of husband and wife Mike and Kate McAllister along with distribution manager Seth Montz. With 10 years of home brewing experience Mike made the decision to jump into commercialized beer and McAllister Brewing was born.

For those that have been to the original Prism location, this will be NOTHING like that original spot. They moved the wall between the taproom and brewery back about 5 feet and have blown out the right side of the taproom to add even more space. Construction is still underway, but if you’ve been to this location before, we think you’ll notice a bit of a difference.

That wasn’t all. They brought in such large equipment they had to blow out the roof! See the construction they performed to fit their tanks into the building. (Courtesy the McAllister Brewing Facebook page).

They intend to open this summer with 5 beers on tap, with the plan to eventually fill all 13 taps they have at their disposal! As regulars to the original Prism location there is one thing that we want to make very clear; this will be nothing you have ever seen before. The McAllisters are putting their passion into the brewery and it is showing.

We will update as they get closer to opening, and look forward to seeing them in action. For now visit their website and follow them on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram to stay up to date on all the fun.
