“An Ale Of The Most Exquisite Design”

Dancing Gnome celebrated the return of the Summer solstice by dropping cans of their Exquisite Beast American Ale. I made sure to celebrate the start properly by snagging a few 4-packs and of course the matching stemware. When I saw a few I meant the whole allotment – who are we kidding?

Coming in at 8.5% ABV, Exquisite Beast still remains a summer porch sipper perfect for the warmer temperatures. Out of all their DIPAs this is their most hop forward overall with some dankness – not in a bad way. It lets you know its a DIPA without question.

Pours a dark straw color with the turbidity you come to expect and love from their beers. Tons of crazy melons and pineapple notes on the nose that convert upon the first sip. Its that sticky fruity / melon flavor that sticks to the sides of your mouth and leave you needing another sip.

Brewed with a base of winter English barley and Spring English barley in addition: spelt, oats, and wheat were also added. Beautifully hopped with Denali, Mosaic, Amarillo, and Columbus. There was obviously lots of late and whirlpool hop additions to extract those juicy hop flavors.

Hope your cracking a cold Dancing Gnome and safely enjoying Summer.
