New Jersey Suspends Enforcement Of “Special Ruling” on Limited Brewery Licenses Pending Additional Study

It turns out public persuasion can be a hell of a thing. As you may have read, the state of New Jersey was about to enforce an absolutely ridiculous rule stripping breweries to the bare bones. And the public hit back hard.

Thanks to that outcry New Jersey has suspended the special ruling according to this press release!

The release goes on to say:

“The suspension will provide ABC with the opportunity to engage in further conversations with stakeholders, including craft breweries and other alcoholic beverage license holders, about the impact of the Special Ruling. In addition, ABC will work with state legislators to determine whether new legislation is needed to update the 2012 law that gave rise to the Special Ruling.”

So while this is a victory for brewery owners and consumers in New Jersey, the fight must continue. Make sure you are voicing your opinion loud and proud so New Jersey can continue to operate a successful craft beer industry.

Congratulations New Jersey!
